Week commencing 4th July 

Year 10

The new year 10 GCSE groups will be making a Smoked Fish Pate - 1 medium cooked smoked mackerel or smoked salmon fillet- 25g butter, 50g creme fraiche or creamed cheese, 1/2 lemon.

Please send a small pot or airtight container in which to carry the pate home.  

Year 11

Mrs Jones' year 11D group cooking Monday, and Miss Bailey's y11A group cooking Wednesday will be making a Risotto - 75g unsalted butter, 1 medium onion, 1 celery stick,1 clove garlic, 375g cooked Cumberland sausage or 375 chorizo, 175g arborio rice, 2 chicken stock cubes, 75g grated parmesan or mozzarella.  School will provide rosemary, olive oil, and thyme. 

Please send an airtight container in which to carry the Risotto home.

Mrs Jones' Y11B group cooking Thursday will be making Meatballs in Tomato Sauce - 200g lean minced meat (beef, pork, turkey), 1 egg, 2 small onions, 2 cloves garlic, 1 stock cube, 1 tbsp tomato puree, 1 tin chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp mixed herbs (school will provide), 2 tbsp oil (school will provide)

 

Please send an airtight container or ovenproof dish with lid to carry the food home.
