Rotary Youth Leadership Award

Denby Dale & District Rotary Club are again proposing to sponsor a week long placement on a course leading to a Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA).

Course Dates:
Course 1: Sunday, 25th July to Friday 30th July 2010
Course 2: Sunday, 1st August to Friday 6h August 2010
Each course can accommodate 32 awardees from all over Yorkshire, who will be selected for the most suitable course on receipt on their registration form details.

Venue:
Hebden Hey Activity Centre, Hardcastle Crags, Hebden Bridge.

Eligibility:
The course is open to all students ages between 16 and 18 during the period of the course. The course is intense, involving long hours and high level of physical exertion and mental activity. Candidates will need to be reasonable fit.

Cost:
The cost of the placement (£430) will be met by Denby Dale & District Rotary Club.

Transport:
Transport will be provided to and from the Centre.

Any student interested in attending the course is asked to provide a letter of application or 250 word statement about themselves with reason for applying and submit this, by Friday, 15th February, to Mrs D. Lumb at Shelley College, who will arrange for interviews, involving Rotary Club members, to be held shortly.
