ParentMail

Dear Parent/Carer

I know how much you appreciate good communication from the college and we have just reviewed how this could be improved further. Increasingly, this communication is undertaken electronically and we have now taken the decision to move to a wholly electronic system. We are confident this will improve the quality and frequency of our contact with you, as well as reducing postage costs and environmental impact. The experience of other schools indicates this will be entirely beneficial for all of us.

We have, therefore, decided to use a service called ParentMail, which is used by over 3,500 schools across the UK to communicate with 2 million parents by email and text message. ParentMail will be beneficial to you because:
• Messages will get to you reliably
• We can send messages directly to individual parents/carers at the same time
• You will quickly know about important or urgent messages
• We can tell you more about what is going on at the school

It’s also great for the College as it will help us:

• Save money because we are reducing paper, copying, post and phone bills
• Improve communications with you
• Be more environmentally friendly

To use ParentMail we need to collect your email addresses and mobile numbers and we would ask you to complete the attached form and return it to us by Monday, 5th July. Please will the parents of our new Year 9 students return the form to their middle schools. We will make arrangements to collect them)
