Community Fun Day

Shelley College was the venue of a community fun day that saw approx 250 people from the Shelley pyramid come together and enjoys an action packed day out. The aim of Saturday’s event was to bring together as many people as possible from across the pyramid so that families could enjoy and spend some quality time together.

“Despite the unpredictable weather it was a good turn out and I would like to thank all those that attended and helped make the event so enjoyable, it was great to see so many young people doing so many different activities, feedback from the event was very positive, with many requesting that it be turned into an annual event” Mr D Palmer - Extended Service Coordinator

The Activities provided on the day included – a Mobile climbing wall, power kites, den building, fire play, circus skills, cricket, inflatable 3 a side pitch, face painting, arts and crafts, DJ workshop and many more.

Shelley extended services would like to thank the following for their support on making the event so successful, Kirklees Young people’s service, organised chaos, Denby dale sure start, project sport, crafty devilz, and Kirklees adventurous activity team.
