Our Sixth Form is one of the largest school sixth forms in Yorkshire and as a result we can offer a wide variety of opportunities for our students. It is open to all who we feel can profit from our wide range of courses and is a stepping stone either to Higher Education or to the world of work. Each year over 300 students study our A level and A/S level courses and every summer we are delighted by the examination success they achieve.

We are a forward-looking and caring school which provides the time, space and opportunity for students to flourish as people and develop their talents. Our sixth formers continually achieve excellent examination results but, equally importantly, they also develop their skills in other areas, for example in art, music, sport, outdoor activities and community service. At the end of their time with us the vast majority of sixth formers leave to take up places at universities and colleges across the country. Others begin worthwhile careers with genuine prospects.

We are proud of our record and our standing in the community we serve. We are also proud of the lead our Sixth Form gives to Shelley students. Shelley College is an exciting place at which to be educated and we welcome your interest in our school. We have achieved much already and we are determined to go on to even greater success.
