AS Law contains a detailed study of the sources of English law, the personnel and machinery of the law and the examination of police powers. A-Level examines one area of law; Criminal Law is studied in depth and students do a special study of one aspect of criminal law. This is currently researched in to the user of the defence of necessity and duress.
