Dance Britannia  click here for full details Dance Britannia: Shelley College is hosting its first ever dance show on Thursday 31st May, featuring students from years 9 to 13. Tickets are available from the finance office, priced at £3 and £2 for concessions. There will be a raffle and refreshments on sale during the evening and a donation will be made to Teenage Cancer Trust on behalf of the dance department.
The show starts at 7:30pm with doors opening at 7pm. We hope to see many of you joining us for a night of all things British! Thanks Miss J Cunliffe

Despite being in the midst of exams at the moment and the priority students and yourselves are placing on preparing for internal assessments or final examinations, I would still like to maintain the Professional Future talks for the remainder of the school year. With this in mind, our next talk on Monday 21st May will be by Dee Richardson who will advise students on a number of apprenticeship routes on building and repairing computers, warehousing and manufacturing, customer service, business administration, hairdressing and childcare / health and social care. I would actively encourage students particularly in Year 9 and Year 10 to attend these talks to help them prepare for their career interviews which for some may take place over the next few weeks. These talks are designed to allow students to make informed decisions about their future, some have led to actual employment/apprenticeships. Students are asked to confirm their attendance by email to lumbd@shelleycollege.org. Our next few Professional Future talks have been confirmed as follows:

Shelley College Fundraiser Event  Fashion Show on Thursday 14th June following our Art Exhibition. Doors open at 6.45 pm in the main dining hall to view the clothes on sale. The fashion show will start at 7.30 pm featuring both students and staff at Shelley College. Further models are required contact Mrs Lumb for details lumbd@shelleycollege.org. Tickets go on sale from Monday 21st May priced at £3 per person from the Finance Office. Bar and light refreshments available from 6.45 pm. Shelley College to host Summer Showcase - Battle of the Bands
This is an open competition to showcase the talents of all young people in bands at Shelley College. Open to students in Yr 9 to Yr 13. Top prizes is time in a recording studio and will be judged by local celebrities Britain's Got Talent Style!
The event is organised by parents of Shelley College - Shelley College Fundraisers as they hope to raise money for a new state of the art climbing wall for all children in the pyramid to use.
