On Friday the 25th of September 2009, I stood on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square in London. As I am studying Anthony Gormley in A-Level Art, I thought it was a good opportunity to experience some of his work by applying to stand on the fourth plinth. I couldn’t believe my luck, when I got accepted because out of 30,000 applicants, only 2000 got to be ‘Plinthers’.
Médecins sans Frontières Charity Blanket Raffle:
The project started in September 2008 when a group of sixth form students started to learn to knit. From there we graduated to producing squares, and co-opted more members - from Grandmas to generous local businesses who donated wool for the project. Soon we had enough squares to produce a blanket which we raffled to raise funds for Médecins sans Frontières.

On Monday 16th November 2009, 6:30pm at the Altitude Café step back in time to 1881 and the aged Charles Darwin has taken a nap after his customary thinking walk at Down House, in Kent. He is amazed to discover on walking that he has somehow, arrived in the present day, with a modern £10 note in his pocket. Is he dreaming? If so, it is an excellent opportunity for you to share a dream and learn about Darwin's life and achievements, while Darwin learns from you about 21st century technology and his positions in our modern curriculum.
